Ahmedabad, Gujarat: For many filmmakers, the journey ends with making films. For Rajan Chauhan, filmmaking is only the beginning of a much larger creative ecosystem.
As a Film Director and Founder of Mukt World LLP, Rajan believes that cinema is more than entertainment—it is one of the most powerful forms of visual communication. Every advertisement, documentary, digital campaign, or feature film begins with the same foundation: meaningful storytelling.
This philosophy became the driving force behind the establishment of Mukt World LLP.
Rather than creating a traditional digital marketing agency, Rajan envisioned a creative media company where filmmaking remains the core discipline while branding, advertising, content creation, and digital media function as complementary creative services. The objective is not to move away from cinema, but to build a sustainable ecosystem that supports long-term filmmaking.
“Many people see filmmaking and branding as different industries. I see them as different expressions of the same art—visual storytelling.”
According to Rajan, one of the biggest challenges for independent filmmakers is sustainability. Producing meaningful cinema requires not only creative vision but also access to resources, technology, professional networks, and financial stability. Instead of waiting for opportunities, he chose to create an organization that could grow alongside his creative ambitions.
Today, Mukt World LLP works with businesses, entrepreneurs, and organizations by providing services in branding, advertising, media production, digital communication, photography, videography, and creative content. Every project contributes to strengthening the company’s production capabilities while expanding its experience across different industries.
However, Rajan sees these services as part of a much larger vision.
The long-term goal of Mukt World LLP is to evolve into a full-scale creative production company producing original films, documentaries, branded films, advertisements, and OTT content that combine artistic storytelling with meaningful social and cultural narratives.
Rajan also believes that the future of the creative industry lies in the convergence of cinema, technology, branding, and digital media. As audiences increasingly consume visual content across multiple platforms, filmmakers must understand not only storytelling but also production, audience behaviour, business strategy, and emerging technologies.
For him, every commercial project is an opportunity to refine the creative process, every collaboration is a learning experience, and every step contributes to a larger cinematic vision.
Looking ahead, Rajan remains committed to building Mukt World LLP into a company that creates value not only for businesses but also for the Indian film and media industry. His ambition extends beyond producing content—he aims to build an organization where creativity, innovation, and visual storytelling come together to create work with lasting impact.
“While many young graduates wait for opportunities, Rajan chose to build an organisation that could create opportunities—for himself, for creative professionals, and eventually for meaningful cinema.”
For Rajan Chauhan, founding a company at the age of 23 was never about becoming a young entrepreneur. It was about refusing to let opportunities define the limits of his career. Coming from a lower middle-class family and having completed his filmmaking education through an education loan, he understood that waiting indefinitely for the perfect opportunity was not a strategy. Instead, he founded Mukt World LLP with a simple belief: if meaningful opportunities don’t exist, creators must build the ecosystem where they can exist.
The Philosophy Behind Mukt World LLP
For Rajan Chauhan, Mukt World LLP was never intended to be just another branding agency, digital marketing firm, or media production company. The idea behind the company is rooted in the meaning of its name.
“The word Mukt means freedom—freedom from limitations, obstacles, and boundaries. In our culture, we often say someone has become mukt when they are free from suffering or challenges. I wanted to apply that same philosophy to creativity.”
According to Rajan, every artist has the ability to imagine beyond conventional limits. Just as the universe has no visible boundaries, creativity also has the potential to be limitless when given the right environment.
“Mukt World represents a space where ideas are not restricted by predefined categories. Whether it is filmmaking, branding, design, advertising, or digital media, the objective is not simply to deliver a service but to create meaningful visual experiences that people can connect with.”
He explains that the company’s commercial services are not its final destination—they are the foundation that enables larger creative ambitions. While Mukt World LLP currently works across branding, advertising, digital communication, and media production, these services exist to strengthen a long-term vision of building a creative ecosystem centred around visual storytelling and filmmaking.
Rather than combining every creative discipline into a single generic service, Rajan believes each field deserves its own identity, expertise, and creative process. This approach allows specialists from different disciplines to collaborate while preserving the value of their individual craft.
Looking ahead, Rajan envisions Mukt World LLP as a creative community where artists, filmmakers, designers, storytellers, and creators can express themselves without limitations and transform ideas into work that reaches audiences across the world.
“Our ambition is not simply to achieve global recognition. We want to build global presence—creating work that encourages people to pause, observe, think, and connect with meaningful stories.”
Why Filmmaking Remains the Foundation of Mukt World LLP
For Rajan Chauhan, filmmaking is not simply a career choice—it is the creative foundation upon which Mukt World LLP has been built.
“My fascination with storytelling began in childhood. Like many Indian families, I grew up listening to stories from my grandparents. As I grew older, that curiosity expanded into reading books, novels, newspapers, and learning how stories shape the way people think.”
Over time, Rajan became closely associated with community-driven organisations, where he witnessed storytelling beyond entertainment. He observed how meaningful stories could unite people, preserve values, inspire action, and create a shared sense of purpose.
“Storytelling has the power to influence emotions, strengthen communities, and help people understand ideas that facts alone often cannot communicate.”
Yet, he also realised that traditional storytelling had its limitations. Every listener imagines a story differently. Perspectives change, details are interpreted differently, and imagination fills the gaps.
That realisation led him towards cinema.
“Visual storytelling removes many of those limitations. It allows people to experience emotions together, see the same world, understand the same characters, and connect through a shared visual language. That’s what makes cinema one of the most powerful creative mediums ever created.”
For Rajan, filmmaking is unique because it naturally brings together almost every creative discipline under one roof.
“A film is never created by a single craft. It combines writing, performance, cinematography, production design, costumes, music, sound, editing, lighting, architecture, psychology, culture, technology, and human emotion into one experience. In many ways, cinema reflects life itself.”
This belief eventually shaped the direction of Mukt World LLP. While the company works across branding, advertising, digital media, and commercial content, Rajan views these disciplines as different applications of the same creative language.
“Every advertisement, documentary, campaign, or film begins with the same foundation—visual storytelling. That’s why filmmaking will always remain at the heart of everything we build.”
He also believes that the future belongs to visual communication.
“We are witnessing one of the biggest shifts in human history. Digital platforms have connected every corner of the world. Today, regardless of where someone lives, stories can travel across continents within seconds. Visual storytelling is no longer limited to cinema halls—it has become the language of the digital era.”
For Rajan, this is exactly why Mukt World LLP was founded: not only to create content, but to build meaningful visual experiences capable of connecting people across cultures, industries, and generations.
Branding, advertising, and digital media are not a diversion from filmmaking; they are the foundation that enables it.
I realised that creative talent alone doesn’t build organisations. Great professionals exist in every field, but building a company requires understanding business, leadership, and long-term vision. My goal was never to become the best at every discipline myself—it was to build an organisation where talented people from different creative fields could work together towards a shared vision.
End
As the media and entertainment industry continues to evolve, Rajan Chauhan remains committed to building Mukt World LLP as a creative ecosystem where filmmaking, visual storytelling, design, branding, and emerging technologies work together rather than in isolation. While the company continues to grow through commercial creative services today, its long-term vision remains firmly focused on producing original films, documentaries, and OTT content that create lasting value for audiences while contributing to the future of India’s creative industry.
